This RFID lock has no sound when scanned. It will not beep...ever. The only sound is the motor. when the batteries are low, the only indication that they are low will be the flashing of the lights.
High-quality RFID cabinet lock comes with 3 credit card sized key cards(1 management key and 2 user keys). This is a new model and now has a port for an A/C Adapter. (The AC adapter and 3.3 foot cable are not included - order separately Part # is KR-Plug)). The unit operates on 4 AAA batteries and/or the A/C Adapter. Easy to install. Instructions and screws are included. Keep your valuables safe and accessible! This lock releases with about 20 pounds of pressure on it.
This is this is the same as our popular version KR-S80LC, except his one has no sound at all and comes with 1 power jack extension cable (to mount and leave in the drawer). Leave 1 cable on lock and inside the fixture with port exposed for emergency power up. If you need an external power supply to plug into the power jack cable, please order our external power supply, its part# PS-002-3.5.
This RFID lock can be easily mounted inside of furniture drawers or cabinet doors unseen to the eye. Perfect for hidden compartments or shop displays and unlocked with the included user card. RFID cards easily access the sensor through up to 1.5" of hardwood or glass. 4 AAA power the unit with a working battery life of up to 50,000 cycles. If battery life starts to get low, a low voltage alarm will not be heard, so it is recommended to have a yearly battery replacement program implemented. Total battery drainage should result in the lock being unable to lock ensuring you will never have a locked out situation. However, this lock also has the power jack option, and when used with the lock, an external power supply can be used to open the lock. Each lock features spring releases that will give the drawer, cabinet etc. a push to open itself (spring release can be removed). Easy to follow setup instructions included will guide you to use the programming manager key to activate your user cards. All stress points are reinforced with steel. No PC necessary to activate user cards!

KR-S80LC
I have not installed the lock, but have tried out the functions. It looks like just what I wanted. So now to build the cabinet to fit this in. The product is great, and delivery was very fast. I appreciate it being set up and ready to use. That is wonderful. Communications is what needs to be improved. 1. I bought the 3ft power cable (option). Why not show that a “battery pack is needed to plug into the cable. I could have ordered this at the same time and reduced your work and my shipping expense. 2. The instructions are a mess. Please have a knowledgeable person rewrite them in “English”. 3. There are buttons (4 buttons labeled 1,2,3,4) please explain all of them in English. After building a cabinet and using this, I plan to order additional RFID locks. Lock Connection Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you like the lock! rfid lock worked great.
In originally bought a cheaper rfid lock from a different vendor and it didn't meet the design parameters I was looking for. After some weekend emails with Jeff, he recommended this solution to overcome some latch binding issues i was having with the old lock set. Sure enough, my order came in within a few days, it was installed and it worked perfectly. Great product and even better customer service! I will be doing more business here! Dan

KRS80LNSPJC lock is ok
I say its ok, because it doesn't always release from the latch. Other than that, its great for concealment mantles.
