Product Description
External Sensor Armstrong Locks RFID cabinet lock. This Lock uses and external sensor that you can remotely mount
further away from the lock body. You can choose from several different cable lengths depending on how far you want
to have the sensor away from the lock body. The sensor is connected to the back of the lock body with the cable. Scan the
sensor area to operate the lock. There is a round plastic cover that can be used to cover the antenna, so the coils are
not seen. Remove the plastic liner and it the cover sticks to the sensor area. Hold it for a 1 minute to let it adhere
properly. The sensor can also be hidden behind the wood to keep it all invisible, but the sensing distance is max 1/2". You need to have it read thru less than 1/2" thick wood in order to operate. The sensor also has a 2.5mm port on it that you can plug in an external power supply to give the lock power. When the batteries die, the lock will stay locked. You must either change out the batteries when you hear the low voltage alarm (before the batteries die) or plug in an external power supply in order to open the lock when the batteries are dead. The power supply used with this is the PS-002 (not included and sold separately).
