This is a multiple lock system. 1 fingerprint / password sensor panel can operate multiple locks.....up to 5 locks. Select how many locks you want in the system and then what length cable you want to go from the first lock to the back of the panel. Then all other added locks are daisy chained using cables.
Touch your finger to the sensor on the panel and all locks will open.
Each added lock will be daisy chained to the next lock. Each added lock unit will come with an interconnect cable kit that consists of a Y cable (2 lock system doesn't require a Y cable) and 19.5-inch extension cable all designed to daisy chain the 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm connectors to each lock. These is a warning alarm when the batteries are low. If you don't replace the batteries before voltage gets to 4.5V, it will stay closed and not operate. There is a micro USB port on the panel and you can plug in an external power supply (not included) to open it. We have a USB to Micro USB cable (Part# KR-USB-Musb) that can be used to plug into an external power supply or AC adapter (6VDC) to open the locks so you can change out the batteries.

The standard cable between the lock and panel sensor is about 3.5" long. We have other cable lengths that can be added as an option. Longer cables are used of you want to mount the panel sensor further away from the lock.
4 AAA power the unit with a working battery life of up to 25,000 cycles. If battery life starts to get low, a low voltage alarm will sound to indicate a battery change is necessary. Total battery drainage will result in the lock staying locked. You can plug into the Micro USB port with an external power supply to power the lock, then change the batteries. Each lock features spring releases that will give the drawer, cabinet etc. a push to open itself (spring release can be removed). Easy to follow setup instructions included will guide you to help Program the lock. We also have YouTube videos to that you can watch. All stress points are reinforced with steel. No PC necessary. releases with approx. 20 pounds of pressure on the lock. Various Working Modes are available (Public, Private, Etc). You can use these in different applications. There is a low voltage alarm at 4.5V and the lock will beep many times when opening and closing. Please change the batteries as soon as possible. At 4V, the lock will no longer function. There is a micro USB connection on the panel that you can plug a 6V source to in order to power the lock so you can open as normal with RFID cards or password so you can change out the batteries. You can power this lock with either 4 AAA batteries or use our 6VDC adapter to plug into the lock body. (the DC adapter is not included and is Part# KR-S80-ACplug. This panel can only be surface mount.
