if you want to use the tape only, please ensure the mount surface is COMPLETELY CLEAR AND SMOOTH. There can be no texture to the surface. It must be completely smooth and flat.
Please do not judge the 3M tape based on how sticky it feels on your fingers, it will not stick to your fingers.
After sticking it on the surface, please let it go unused for at least 2 days.
Since the 3M tape is pressure sensitive, its best to hold pressure while putting it on the surface for at least 45 seconds.... the longer the better. Putting a constant pressure on the magnet will help to develop the full adhesion performance that the 3m VHB tape can offer.

I ordered 2. These work well. I had to use the screws in my car though. My are was not flat enough. The magnet is strong and hold my Glock 19 no issues at all. Delivery was fast 3 days.

Work great in my metal security cabinet
As a test, I ordered two of these magnets. I placed them on the side of my metal security cabinet and they held my .45 LC SAA Revolver and my .22LR revolver even without peeling off the mounting tape protective film. I just ordered 4 more! strong Magnet
works well, holds my Glock 45 no problem. Adhesive seems strong. I put it on per the instructions on the inside of the box...so hopefully i have no issues. I mounted 1 in my safe and 1 on my nightstand. So far so good.

So far so good. Had it for a couple of weeks. The magnet is strong. Holds my Smith & Wesson 9mm with no problem. Can’t imagine it not being strong enough to hold any firearm.
