This RFID lock has no sound when scanned. It will not beep...ever. The only sound is the motor. when the batteries are low, the only indication that they are low will be the flashing of the lights.

This lock uses an external sensor and has a 20" cord so that you can have the sensor in a different spot than the lock. The sensor is a snap in design and can be viewed on the outside. The sensor can also be hidden behind the wood to keep it all invisible, but the sensing distance is max 1". The external sensor must be used. its the only sensor the lock has.
This lock has no sound at all and comes with 1 power jack extension cable (to mount and leave in the drawer). Leave 1 cable on lock and inside the fixture with port exposed for emergency power up.
This RFID lock can be easily mounted inside of furniture drawers or cabinet doors unseen to the eye. Perfect for hidden compartments or shop displays and unlocked with the included user card. RFID cards easily access the sensor through up to 1.5" of hardwood or glass. 4 AAA power the unit with a working battery life of up to 50,000 cycles. If battery life starts to get low, a low voltage alarm will not be heard, so it is recommended to have a yearly battery replacement program implemented. Total battery drainage should result in the lock being unable to lock ensuring you will never have a locked out situation. However, this lock also has the power jack option, and when used with the lock, an external power supply can be used to open the lock. Each lock features spring releases that will give the drawer, cabinet etc. a push to open itself (spring release can be removed). Easy to follow setup instructions included will guide you to use the programming manager key to activate your user cards. All stress points are reinforced with steel. No PC necessary to activate user cards!
